A popular and highly recommended north Italian bistro. It's privately owned an built in what was once a house. Apparently it's not uncommon to find celebrities reserving their private rooms. Couples on romantic, candle-lit dates are a staple.
Presentation:
The presentation couldn't get much simpler as it is served in a round medium height ramekin on a small saucer. No garnish.
Crust:
The crust is thin and delicate but still crispy. It has a general sweet taste.
Custard:
The custard is room temp towards the top and graduates toward cooler on the bottom. The density reminds me of something just thicker than a moist marshmallow (although the taste has nothing to do with marshmallows). The taste is a creamy, rich custard with a slight hinting of vanilla.
Overall Impression:
Overall this is a generally good crème brûlée with a classic taste and style. The density and texture are generally pleasurable. The taste is average overall.
